WEO is preparing several meetings which will be held at the upcoming Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2017, the most important meeting in the Asian-Pacific region for GI specialists. We are happy to once again join forces with the APDW to bring the audience the latest research and insights in the field of endoscopy. APDW delegates are welcome to participate at the following meetings: Advanced Diagnostic Endoscopy Course (ADEC), Better Endoscopic Service Training (BEST), Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) Meeting and WEO Research Workshop. All meetings will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Advanced Diagnostic Endoscopy Course (ADEC), Saturday, September 23, 2017
ADEC will be held jointly with the Asian Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) and the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES). This 1-day highly interactive course is designed to help participants advance their diagnostic skills with the aid of HD endoscopes, through case presentations and discussion with experts. Course directors are Jean-François Rey (France, President WEO), Shinji Tanaka (Japan) and Noriya Uedo (Japan).
Better Endoscopic Service Training (BEST), Sunday, September 24, 2017

BEST courses combine the best elements of several WEO courses into a multi-disciplinary learning experience, customized to suit local needs. The course amalgamates essentials of endoscopy, teaching in endoscopy, as well as covering administrative topics around endoscopy.
Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) Meeting, Monday, September 25, 2017
CRC SC meeting will focus on new technologies, original research and new practices in order to update attendees on recent advances in CRC screening, to seek comments on future initiatives and to discuss controversial areas with the aim of reaching a consensus. The meeting will be chaired by Linda Rabeneck (Canada, Chair of CRC SC) and Joseph Sung (Hong Kong).
Research Workshop, Monday, September 25, 2017
WEO is proud to collaborate with A-PSDE on this new half-day workshop designed to explain the basics of research including how to design studies, how to interpret data and how to publish results. The workshop is aimed primarily at early career gastroenterologists with an interest in research in endoscopy.
