The first edition of the one-year WEO International School of EUS course is in progress with very positive results. The first and second modules took place in March and June 2018. Expert lectures and hands-on training sessions were held at the K-Tec and Asan Medical Center in Korea with participation of six early career trainees from Brazil, England, Egypt, India, Italy and Taiwan. The third Module will be held during the first week of October.

After the first module, all the participants of the course were invited to present their own cases to receive further feedback during the first WISE web conference under the supervision of Professor Dong-Wan Seo, Course Director. The WISE team also successfully presented their first abstract regarding EUS anatomy of the pancreatobiliary system during the International Digestive Endoscopy Network IDEN in Seoul as a closing activity for the second module in June.

WEO is now very glad to announce that the first WISE case conference will take place in November 2018 during the APDW in Seoul. WISE team has created this conference as a program extension of the WISE course in order to increase accessibility and discussion about interesting cases and advanced EUS procedures. WEO trusts this activity will engage international experts to share their own experiences and best practices in how to perform EUS. A call for submission of cases for this conference will be announced within the next few days. Stay tuned and find more information at the following link.
