WEO makes efforts constantly to reach out to physicians around the world and strives to promote quality in endoscopy to serve its members and be a champion of better patient care globally. To continue with our mission WEO established a new level of recognition of centers performing endoscopy: Collaboration of Organized and Recognized Endoscopy units (CORE). With this recognition, WEO aims to establish dialogue with endoscopy units around the globe in order to improve the quality of practice of endoscopy.

WEO will recognize endoscopy units performing upper intestinal endoscopy and/or colonoscopy and that meet certain minimal standards for endoscopy safety standards of hygiene, disinfection and training that WEO deems necessary for any practice of endoscopy.

Online applications are open. The initial fee for CORE recognition is USD 100. The annual fee for continuation of recognition is USD 50. To learn more about CORE benefits, and to find out how to apply please visit the following link: www.worldendo.org/resources/core
