The selection process for the second WEO International School of EUS (WISE) training program has successfully concluded, with highly qualified applications received from around the world. Important factors for a successful application were previous experience with EUS procedures, a high level of English, and proof of academic achievements.

Professor Dong-Wan Seo, WEO leader of the project, looks forward to welcoming the highly skilled group of ten young specialists early in June 2019. The training will take place at the renowned Asan Medical Centre in Seoul. Participants from Brazil, China (Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania, and Singapore will take part.

WISE is a state-of-the-art EUS training program organized in partnership with the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE) and the Asian EUS Group (AEG). Faculty from the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and other parts of Asia will cover all aspects of EUS training and guide the participants through didactic lectures, hands-on training, close observation of real patient examinations, and individual case presentations.

Some members of the pioneer WISE 2018 group will also make their debut as faculty this time, sharing the knowledge and skills they acquired during WISE 2018.

Stay tuned for further updates about WISE 2019!
