The World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) is pleased to launch a new WEO Fellowship Program, initially focussing on ERCP training.
WEO is delighted to collaborate with high volume Chinese endoscopy centers to offer courses for fully trained endoscopists who wish to be trained in ERCP. This will help to improve current training opportunities and practice in ERCP to satisfy the great demand for ERCP training possibilities worldwide and engage with an expert network to share experience and best practices in ERCP.
During the program, trainees will be exposed to the full spectrum of basic to advanced ERCP training provided by the endoscopic centers. Trainees will be able to indicate their preferred host unit amongst Chinese endoscopy centers. For more details on the host units, see our official WEO ERCP page.
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatograpy (ERCP) is a technique that combines the use of endoscopy and fluoroscopy for the treatment of benign or malignant pathologies related to the biliary or pancreatic ductal systems. It is a challenging and important therapeutic procedure that requires lifelong learning and the need to adapt to therapeutic aims on a case-by-case basis.
For more information on the program, please view here. Registration for the program is limited. Applications are open now and can be submitted via the WEO Fellowship Program webpage. The last date for application is January 7, 2020. The names of the selected candidates will be announced by January 20, 2020.
