November and December have been busy months for WEO with meetings in Kolkata, Fortaleza, Kobe and Cairo. We are always happy to join forces with local and regional societies to bring the latest research and insights in the field of endoscopy.
WEO was very pleased to participate again at the 18th Brazilian Gastroenterology Week (SBAD), the renowned meeting for gastroenterology, endoscopy, and digestive surgery in Latin America. The 2019 event took place on November 23–26, 2019 in Fortaleza, Brazil.
The 2019 SBAD was organized by the Brazilian Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SOBED), the Brazilian Federation of Gastroenterology (FBG), and the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD), bringing together more than 7200 specialists from South America and around the globe.
This year, WEO contributed with five specialized endoscopy courses:
- Video Capsule Endoscopy Training (VCE)
- WEO International School of EUS (WISE)
- High Quality in Upper GI Endoscopy course (High-Q)
- Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) meeting
- Better Endoscopic Service Training (BEST)
WEO looks forward to SBAD 2020 which will take place on November 21–24, 2020 in Florianópolis, Brazil.
WEO also participated at the Japan Digestive Disease Week (JDDW) 2019, which took place November 21–24, 2019 in Kobe, Japan.
The 2019 JDDW attracted more than 22,000 participants around the world promoting efficient management in the advancement and dissemination of research and education and contributing to the promotion of social welfare.
WEO was very pleased to publicize its educational activities and ENDO 2020, the 2nd World Congress of GI endoscopy, during the meeting and looks forward to JDDW next year, November 5–8, 2020 in Kobe, Japan.
Following its activities in Japan, WEO moved to Cairo, Egypt to Egypt Gastrohep “EGH” 2019 offering the 22nd Egyptian Workshop on Therapeutic Endoscopy and the 12th Annual Hepatology and gastroenterology post graduate course. Both courses took place December 5–8, 2019, and were a great opportunity again to promote WEO educational activities and ENDO 2020. WEO looks forward to be part of EGH 2020 next year.
Further onto Kolkata, India, WEO participated in the Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2019, the most important meeting in the Asian-Pacific region for GI specialists.
WEO was very pleased to contribute again and to offer the well-established Advanced Diagnosis Endoscopy course (ADEC) and the Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening Committee (SC) meeting.
WEO looks forward to participating again in APDW 2020, which will take place September 17–20, 2020 in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia.
