Following the successful completion of the first virtual Basic Anatomy Workshop in June, WEO is pleased to announce that the WISE 2020 Virtual Module One will take place on September 18, 19, 25, and 26.

Founded in 2018 by course director, Professor Dong-Wan Seo from the renowned Asan Medical Center, Seoul, WISE is a state-of-the-art program focused on training a specialized group of doctors in their early careers. WEO’s aim is to provide the selected trainees with the tools necessary to become future leaders in the area of EUS. The WISE program is highly sought after by young endoscopists around the world and attracts numerous applicants annually.

WISE 2020 Virtual Module One will welcome distinguished EUS experts from Asia, Europe, America, and Latin America. Lecture topics include advanced anatomy, EUS-guided tissue acquisition, and EUS-guided drainage of pancreatic fluid collections. The 30 WISE 2020 participants will have the opportunity to present challenges faced during their daily EUS practice and receive related guidance. This virtual training will be further enhanced by contributions from the close-knit WISE alumni from 2018 and 2019 who will share various EUS cases of varying complexity. A special highlight will include live endoscopy from The Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (India).

WEO is delighted to partner with the Asian EUS Group Korea and Asian EUS Group for this important initiative. WEO is also grateful to our long-term partners Olympus, Fujifilm, Sonoscape, Taewoong and Micro-Tech for their valuable support.
