The global pandemic has not impeded the work of WISE. Thanks to our committed faculty, virtual training platforms, WISE has trained more endoscopists from all corners of the world. WISE is delighted to welcome the new cohort of more than 40 enthusiastic learners from over 20 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Qatar, Spain, and many more. Eminent international faculty such as Professor Rajesh Puri from India and Professor Mitsuhiro Kida from Japan were specially invited to share insights about basic anatomy and preparation of EUS equipment during the first online WISE 2021 module. Four additional online modules, covering topics from intermediate to advanced EUS will take place throughout the year and the top six participants will be selected to attend an exclusive onsite hands-on training program at the renowned Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

“I am extremely heartened to see that WISE has grown into a reputable EUS training platform where endossonographers from all continents congregate to share knowledge, exchange views, and make friends, ultimately for the common goal of better patient care through EUS,“ commented Professor Dong Wan Seo, the project founder and leader of WISE.

WEO would also like to acknowledge the following companies, Olympus, Fujifilm, Sonoscape, Taewoong, and Creo Medical for their unwavering support.
