Over the last few years, there has been a gratifying and continuous growth in the WEO community of individual members. Encompassing more than 80 countries, this community is now a network of worldwide specialists in gastrointestinal endoscopy. WEO is very grateful to each and every one of its individual members and wishes to open its doors to the experts of tomorrow.

Starting on September 15, 2021 all trainees in gastrointestinal endoscopy are invited to apply to become WEO Trainee Individual Members. To be eligible for this free membership, trainees must be able to prove their training status with a letter in English signed by their department head. In addition, all applicants will be required to upload an up-to-date CV. If following review by the WEO Secretariat, applicants are deemed eligible, their membership will be valid until the expected end date of their training.

Both WEO Standard and Trainee Individual Members benefit from the networking opportunities afforded by the membership platform, the exclusive access to WEO educational programs such as the WEO International School of EUS (WISE), WEO Fellowship, and Emerging Stars, and reduced registration fees for WEO-endorsed events. In addition, any individual member no older than 40 years who is the submitting author of an abstract at ENDO 2022 is in the running for one of the ten ENDO 2022 grants, which will cover the participants’ travel costs to Kyoto and the congress registration fee.

Why not spread the word throughout your networks? And if you yourself qualify for free individual membership, don’t waste a second – apply now!
