‘Evidence in Clinical Practice’ was the theme of the recent Capsule Endoscopy Global Summit held on November 20–21, 2021. CEGS 2021 was a collaboration between WEO and the Chinese Association of Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists as well as crucial scientific partners such as Xinqiao Hospital, the West China Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Nanfang Hospital, and Southern Medical University. CEGS 2021 included informative lectures on topics at the cutting-edge of the capsule endoscopy industry and on   the latest advances in capsule endoscopy technology, as well as expert panel discussions and a workshop.

The Summit brought together top international experts in capsule endoscopy, such as Admar Borges (Brazil), Ekaterina Ivanova (Russia), Anastasios Koulaouzidis (Poland), Jean-Francois Rey (France), Miguel Saraiva (Portugal), Qiu Zhao (China) and many more.

The hybrid format of CEGS 2021 allowed a wide extension of its audience, and online the event garnered about 227 000 views from more than 100 countries.
