Lessons from studies into understanding attendance at colonoscopy in colorectal cancer screening: “Everything you always wanted to know about colonoscopy but were too afraid to ask.”

Find the final program here.

Overview: This session will cover a truly international panel of experts who have converged on the longstanding issue of colonoscopy attendance. We will look at this through the lens of both colonoscopy as the primary modality and as the follow up test after an abnormal Faecal immunochemical test. The webinar will cover lessons from both organised and opportunistic programmes and will include studies into a wide range of barriers. This will include some very recent work into the impact of COVID-19 and offering colonoscopy to people requiring follow up in the English Screening programme. Finally, we will conclude by looking at approaches to improve attendance at follow up colonoscopy.
