The World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) is a non-profit umbrella organization established in 1962, covering three geographical zones: Asia-Pacific (APSDE), Europe/Mediterranean (ESGE), and the Americas (SIED). With a focus on promoting high-quality and safe endoscopy worldwide, WEO provides training, education, and research opportunities. As a global organization, WEO addresses the challenges in emerging markets and aims to support regions with limited medical resources. Through various committees chaired by experts, WEO drives projects to advance endoscopy and promote quality in the field.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Project Manager at the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) located in Munich. As a Project Manager at WEO, you will manage a variety of projects, including educational courses, webinars, membership, fellowship, and recognition programs. A key aspect of your role will also be overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing and communication initiatives at WEO, with a focus on website and social media management to ensure a strong digital presence and engagement.
Collaboration with an international team and faculty requires excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, along with native or professional proficiency in English.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management and marketing, with demonstrated expertise in website and social media oversight.
This position may occasionally require weekend or holiday work, as well as domestic and international travel for events and conferences.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid German/EU work permit
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in international program management or a similar role
- Professional or native-level proficiency in English is a must! Additional languages are an asset, particularly German.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skillsInternational experience with intercultural understanding
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Experienced with online marketing platforms, including website, social media, membership portal.
- A good understanding of software solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience in the healthcare or non-profit sector is a plus
- Project management certification is a plus
