WEO Individual Membership

We will not be able to process new applications from December 17, 2025, to January 7, 2026. Applications will be processed after this period.

Rest assured, your WISE application is safe. As long as you have applied for membership, your application is not at risk, even if you don’t hear from us during this time.

WEO membership is open to both established professionals and trainees in gastrointestinal endoscopy.

To be eligible for WEO Individual Membership, applicants need to be physicians specialized in gastrointestinal endoscopy that can provide evidence of certification by an appropriate specialty board or documented evidence of completion of an accredited training program.

To be eligible for WEO Trainee Individual Membership, applicants must be graduates from a medical school, training in gastrointestinal endoscopy that can provide evidence of their training status with a letter written and signed by their department head. The letter needs to be dated and mention the department name, the role of the trainee in the department as well as the expected date of training completion.

Application & Fees

Standard Individual Membership

Annual fee for WEO Individual Membership is EUR 50 for the term of one year. In addition, there is the opportunity to select a two-year payment option with a single EUR 75 fee.

Payment for the annual membership fee is possible via bank transfer, debit, and credit card. For those who supply credit card details on application, the fee will be deducted from your account as part of the application process. Those who select to pay via bank transfer will receive the WEO bank details.

IMPORTANT: By selecting the credit card option to pay for the membership, future membership renewal fees will be automatically deducted by the due date. Should you wish to discontinue the auto deduction payment method and cancel the membership, you need to update your membership and payment settings inside the online membership platform before the due date.

Trainee Individual Membership

The WEO Individual Membership for trainees in gastrointestinal endoscopy is available free of charge. To prove evidence of their training status, applicants are asked to upload a letter written and signed by their department head. The letter needs to be dated and on official letter head, and mention the department name, the role of the trainee in the department as well as the expected date of training completion.

The membership will be valid until the applicant’s expected date of training completion. After this date, all trainees will be notified to pay the applicable membership fee to extend the membership validity.

IMPORTANT: During the application, you will have to add your expected date of training completion. Please note that this date should be the same date as the one stated in the letter signed by your department head.

Process

After submitting your application you will see a confirmation message of receipt. After approval, you will receive a welcome letter.

The WEO members area facilitates connection and collaboration among its members for the benefit of all. To ensure this, all new members will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions during the application process in order to become a member.
