The Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee

The Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) was pleased to partner with A-PSDE again in 2025, delivering the latest research and insights in CRC screening to attendees.

CRC SC sessions took place on November 19, 2025, in Singapore as part of the pre-Congress workshops. Session 1, chaired by Prof. Han Mo Chiu (WEO CRC SC Asian Chair) and Prof. Khay Guan Yeoh, tackled emerging issues and challenges in CRC screening. Speakers included Prof. Masau Sekiguchi on colonoscopy quality metrics and Prof. Rashid Lui on insights from the COLONPREV and NordICC trials.

Session 2 focused on precision management of T1 CRC. It was chaired by Prof. Rajvinder Singh and Prof. Joseph Sung. Speakers were Prof. Wen-Feng Hsu, Dr. James Li, and Prof. Yutaka Saito, who discussed outcomes of T1 CRC based on population cancer registries, screening and surveillance, and balancing treatment options.

The WEO CRC SC Committee is proud to have co-hosted this important session with A-PSDE and looks forward to continuing close collaboration with regional societies such as A-PSDE.

WEO Research Symposium

This pre-congress workshop organized by the WEO Research Committee also took place on November 19, 2025 and was chaired by Prof. Krish Ragunath. The speakers for this session were Prof. Tiing Leong Ang, Prof. Krish Ragunath, and Prof. Yosuke Nakai. The topics addressed included carbon footprint in endoscopy, sustainable endoscopy, and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in endoscopy.
