A familiar face returns to lead the WEO Office, bringing experience, vision, and a passion for fostering global connections across the endoscopy community.
The World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) is pleased to welcome back Bibiana Arcos, who recently rejoined the organization in her new role as Managing Director and is already bringing renewed energy and vision to the WEO Office.
After previously serving WEO as Senior Project Manager for both ENDO 2020 and ENDO 2022, she is now stepping into this leadership role, marking both a return and an opportunity to build on the organization's strong legacy of collaboration and global impact.
"Returning to lead the WEO Office feels like a homecoming," she shared. "It is an honor to continue building on the strong foundation we have created together and to support WEO's mission of advancing excellence in endoscopy worldwide."
With extensive experience in international health organizations, strategic project management, and cross-border activities, Bibiana brings a global perspective shaped by living and working in diverse regions. Her intercultural background and leadership experience make her well-positioned to lead the multicultural WEO Office team as it continues to connect, coordinate, and enable knowledge exchange across the worldwide endoscopy community.
With her support and leadership, the WEO Office will continue to serve as the institutional backbone of WEO, ensuring continuity, effective governance, and operational excellence across successive leaderships. The Office plays a vital role in supporting committees, programs, regional partners, and members around the world, helping extend WEO's reach and impact.
"For me, success depends on strong collaboration, shared passion, and seamless teamwork across our global team and extended network," she noted.
Looking ahead, her priorities include empowering the team, strengthening cross-cultural collaboration, and advancing WEO's strategic goals. By leveraging the diversity and expertise of WEO's global Office team and community, she aims to further support the WEO Executive in elevating endoscopic practice and supporting meaningful connections across regions.
