The fourth group of the WEO Emerging Stars convened in Singapore recently to participate in the second edition of an intensive, highly interactive leadership course. Through their focus and active engagement, this multinational group of endoscopists once again affirmed how important the vision of Professor Ibrahim Mostafa was so many years ago when he created this program.
Participating physicians benefit from an accelerated educational pathway designed to support their current and future leadership roles. The curriculum is based on updated business management programs and delivered over three courses by a variety of very experienced trainers. Sessions address key competencies essential for physicians stepping into leadership positions, topics typically absent from traditional medical school curricula.
In addition, the close collaboration among participants fosters lasting personal bonds and builds an extensive global professional network. The exchange of knowledge, vision and opportunities is ongoing, and the first publication of this group has already seen the light.
