From the first webinar in April to the final certificates in Düsseldorf in July, the WEO INSPIRE.YOU Master Class 2026 brought together 16 physicians from 12 countries. They shared one goal: to take their ERCP skills to the next level.

The program was created for endoscopists who already had experience in ERCP and wanted to explore more advanced techniques. Over the course of 4 months, participants worked through topics including bailout strategies, stone and stricture management, cannulation, cholangioscopy, pancreatoscopy, complex stenting, and the management of adverse events.

The learning started online, with two interactive webinars where the faculty shared their experience through lectures and real clinical cases. In July, the group finally met in Düsseldorf. For 2 days, the focus shifted from the screen to the training center, with live demonstrations, case discussions, and hands-on training using 3D models. The small-group format meant there was plenty of time for questions and learning from one another.

One of the nicest parts of the course happened between the sessions. Coffee breaks, lunch, and the evening social program became opportunities to continue conversations and get to know colleagues from different parts of the world. By the end of the Master Class, many participants had become much more than classmates.

WEO would like to thank our faculty for making this program such a valuable learning experience:

·         Prof. Lars Aabakken (Norway)

·         Dr. Torsten Beyna (Germany)

·         Prof. Leena Kylänpää (Finland)

·         Dr. Arnaud Lemmers (Belgium)

·         Prof. George Webster (United Kingdom)

Their openness and willingness to share their experience shaped every part of the course.

This Master Class was developed together with our long-time educational partner, Micro-Tech INSPIRE.YOU. Our sincere thanks go to the entire Micro-Tech INSPIRE.YOU team for creating such an excellent learning environment. From the venue and advanced training devices to the dedicated nursing team, the social program, and the smooth organization behind every detail, their support allowed participants and faculty to focus on what mattered most – learning together.

Our biggest thank you goes to the participants. You brought enthusiasm and a willingness to openly discuss both successes and challenges from your own practice. That spirit made every session richer.

The feedback received after the course captured the experience well:

6

Dr. Imad Bouguedouma from Algeria described the Master Class as "a high-level master class, conducted with exceptional professionalism and remarkable hospitality."

7

Prof. Hanane Delsa from Morocco reflected on the value of combining online learning with hands-on training, saying that "moving from the virtual classroom to the on-site hands-on ERCP sessions and live demonstrations made all the difference." She also highlighted how meeting endoscopists from around the world became one of the most rewarding parts of the program.

For WEO, these comments reflect exactly what the INSPIRE.YOU Master Class aims to achieve: practical education and a global community of endoscopists learning from one another.

Thank you to everyone who was part of the WEO INSPIRE.YOU Master Class 2026. We hope the conversations started during these months will continue long after the course has ended, and we look forward to welcoming you again at future WEO educational activities.
