WEO Publications

The WEO has a procedure for all publications under its auspices. In principle, WEO will primarily pursue the following:

  • Position Statements: These will address topics affecting the worldwide practice and quality of endoscopy, typically in emergent, low-evidence situations.
  • Cascade Guidelines: In collaboration with Regional or National Member Societies, WEO will promote a cascade approach, adapting current standards to different levels of practice.
  • Survey/Registry Results: The WEO Executive strongly encourages the use of surveys and registries to audit and measure practices in accordance with (cascade) guidelines. Cross-regional projects are also encouraged.
  • Endorsements: WEO may decide to endorse documents from Regional Societies or other recognized entities upon request.

For more details on the procedure, please refer to the WEO Publications Policy.

If you are seeking endorsement for publications, please refer to the WEO Publications Endorsement Policy
