General information: The WEO International School of EUS (WISE) founded in 2018, is a state-of-the-art EUS training program focused on teaching a specialized group of doctors in their early careers. WEO’s aim is to groom the selected trainees and to provide the necessary tools to become future leaders in the area of EUS. WEO is delighted to partner with the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Asian EUS Group Korea and Asian EUS group for this important initiative. Under the direction of Professor Dong-Wan Seo and during the one-year program, WISE trainees will be exposed to the full spectrum of EUS training, from basic anatomy to interventional EUS. WISE courses will be comprised of lectures, case presentations and hands-on training using phantom and live animals, as well as observation of real human cases.
The Basic Anatomy Workshop and Two WISE modules are taking place as below:
(1) Basic Anatomy Workshop
Date: February 7-9, 2020
Venue: Olympus Korea Medical Training & Education Center (K-Tec), Songdo, Incheon, South Korea
(2) WISE 2020 Modue One
Date: June 6-13, 2020
Venue: K-Tec, Asan Medical Center, Grand Hilton Seoul, South Korea
(3) WISE 2020 Module Two
Date: 23-29 September, 2020
Venue: Asan Medical Center, South Korea
Venue: Most training will take place at the ASAN medical center in Seoul, South Korea, a renowned EUS hub and a WEO Center of Excellence. Here, an expert group of international trainers will ensure the quality of the training, with the help of first class lab facilities and advanced technical equipment.

EUS WISE WORKSHOP
We are very glad to announce that we have enhanced WISE program with the EUS WISE workshop. The aim of the workshop is to increase the accessibility and discussion about interesting cases and difficult procedures in EUS. WEO believes this activity will engage international experts to share their own experiences and best practices on how to perform EUS and manage patients with complex medical issues.
