The Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee (CRC SC) convened at the NH Collection Berlin Mitte Friedrichstrasse Hotel in Berlin, Germany on October 3, 2025. The primary objective of this gathering was to provide a platform for distinguished experts to disseminate the latest insights, advances, and trends in the field of colorectal cancer screening.
The day's proceedings comprised Expert Working Group sessions in the morning, followed by plenary sessions in the afternoon. On this occasion the Expert Working Groups included FIT (fecal immunochemical testing) for Screening; Inequities in CRC Screening; Polyp Detection, Characterization, Resection and AI; Surveillance after Colorectal Neoplasia; Evaluation of New Tests; and PCCRC (post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer) & Quality in Colonoscopy. Each group addressed relevant new research and updates.
The plenary sessions covered new evidence and recommendations for CRC screening in Europe, international experiences, FIT, and personalized CRC screening. All in all, it was a lively event with many quality discussions, and potential future topics for collaboration emerged.

The next CRC SC meeting will be scheduled for May 2026 in Chicago, USA, immediately before DDW2026.
