I am reaching out to extend my deepest appreciation for the exceptional experience provided in the second module of the WISE (WEO International School of Endoscopic Ultrasonography) program. This module was truly transformative, enhancing both my technical skills and my overall comprehension of advanced endoscopic ultrasonography.
One of the highlights of this module was the opportunity to master lesion evaluation, which significantly strengthened our diagnostic capabilities. We also had the chance to perform biopsies using fine-needle aspiration (FNA) and fine-needle biopsy (FNB) techniques, providing invaluable hands-on experience and reinforcing our precision in obtaining high-quality tissue samples.
In this module, I also had the invaluable opportunity to work hands-on with at least 67 patients across five Egyptian tertiary centers. The exposure to such a variety of cases was immensely valuable, particularly as it allowed us to observe and engage in complex interventional procedures such as cystogastrostomy, stent placements (Z-EUS stent), and drainage of collections. This practical experience has been a pivotal step in consolidating my understanding and confidence in advanced EUS applications.
I must convey my sincere gratitude to the dedicated mentors and professors who guided us throughout this journey. Professors Elsayed Ghoneem, Hussein Okasha, Moaz Elshair, and Khaled Ragab, along with the entire team, consistently provided invaluable mentorship, and their commitment to excellence has left an indelible impact on my professional growth. Their exceptional expertise and mentorship went above and beyond, creating an inspiring and supportive environment for our development. Each of them brought unique insights and approaches, reinforcing the importance of excellence and compassion in our field. Their commitment to nurturing the next generation of specialists has profoundly shaped my professional journey, and I am truly honored to have learned from such distinguished figures. Additionally, it was a distinct privilege to learn from Professor Dong Wan Seo, whose expertise brought an inspiring global perspective to our training.
The dedication, attentiveness, and expertise of the entire WISE team were remarkable, fostering an environment that encouraged both learning and growth. I am profoundly grateful for the rigorous yet supportive structure of this training program, which has given me both confidence and motivation to continue advancing in the field.
The WISE program, especially through the Egyptian Chapter, has set a standard of excellence and rigor that I am proud to have experienced. This program not only nurtures technical skills but fosters a deep commitment to patient care and the pursuit of knowledge. As a Moroccan physician, I am dedicated to sharing this prestigious program and the invaluable knowledge I have gained, continuously promoting the program’s impact across our medical community.
Thank you once again for organizing this outstanding educational experience. I eagerly look forward to future opportunities with WEO and hope to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in my work.
